Swami Devi Dyal School of Nursing & Midwifery was established in the Year 2004. The school has been promoted by Swami Devi Dyal Hi-tech Education Academy, which owns 100 bedded multi specialty Hospital, named Swami Devi Dyal General Hospital. Senior doctors of all the specialties attend over 150 patients daily in the OPD and take care of the indoor patients. All the diagnostic facilities like clinical laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG etc with 24 hrs ambulance services are available in the hospital. The school is approved and recognized by Haryana Nursing Registration Council (HNRC) & Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi.
The school is presently offering three years General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course and two years Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) course for female candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF GNM PROGRAMS

⇨ Minimum and maximum age for admission is 17 and 35 years respectively as on 31st Dec, 2017. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV qualified candidates.
⇨ 10+2 with 40% marks from any recognized Board. However Science is preferable.
⇨ Candidates are also eligible from State Open School Recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government.
⇨ Registered as ANM with State Nursing Council.
⇨ 10+2 vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
⇨ 10+2 Health Care Science- Vocational stream from recognized CBSE Board/State/Centre.
⇨ 5% relaxation in total marks for SC/ST candidates.
⇨ Any other quota as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy.
⇨ Student shall be medically fit.


AUXILIARY NURSING & MIDWIFERY (ANM) COURSES

⇨ The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
⇨ The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of 10+2 schooling, recognized by CBSE/ICSE/ SSSCE/HSCE or a recognized equivalent examination.
⇨ Students shall be medically fit.


Admission procedure

⇨ The admission to GNM and ANM courses will be made on the basis of merit list prepared on marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
⇨ Minimum age of admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec, the year on which admission is sought.
⇨ Reservations are as per Haryana government instruction.

Students also avail clinical training at General Hospital Sector- 6, Panchkula As Well as the hospital, within the campus.


Field Training:

In Community Health Centre (CHC) Raipur Rani& Primary Health Centre (PHC) Barwala.


Psychiatric Training:

At National Institute of Mental Health at Amritsar, Punjab.
